As a student seeking to join Campbell Law in the fall of 2008, you may be wondering how the move to Raleigh may affect you. The new Raleigh location will mean that you are within walking distance of local law firms and court houses, restaurants, and other entities you will want and need as a law student.
If you join us in the fall of 2008, you will have a remarkable opportunity to study your first year in beautiful Buies Creek, about 35 minutes south of Raleigh. It is quiet here and very conducive for immersing yourself in the language of the law. In the fall of 2009, our great school will relocate two blocks from the State Capitol in downtown Raleigh. Extraordinary opportunities for real-world experience will await you during your second and third years in one of the best cities in the country. It is a wonderful place to live and work.
This transition will afford our students the unique opportunity of experiencing the practice of law in both a rural environment and in a city environment. Many housing options will be available in several locations other than just Buies Creek or Raleigh. A few key areas are Fuquay Varina, Apex, and Garner. These are just three of the many communities that lie between Raleigh and Buies Creek.
Campbell is a school on the move, but we will not forget its great heritage of producing lawyers who are making a difference in their firms, their communities, and their states. Our faculty likes to say, “We produce great lawyers, one at a time.” I think that statement reflects the personal touch you will enjoy here at Campbell, both in Buies Creek and in Raleigh. We are small by choice. We want you to excel. We want you to wear the badge of being a “Campbell Lawyer.” It is a high standard to live up to.
