I lead our firm's litigation practice and represent clients in patent, trademark, copyright litigation as well as advising them on IP management, licensing, franchising, and entertainment law.
Campbell gave me the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the legal profession. The School of Law forces students to think analytically and places significant focus on reading, understanding and applying cases. The legal profession rewards competence and hard work. Campbell produces able attorneys, because success at the school depends on focused and diligent effort.'Not all law schools instill such a work ethic.

Were it not for the staff of the Career Services Office, I would not have my dream job. They gave me one-on-one help updating my resume, resulting in a solid, professional, legal resumesomething of a departure from resumes I had created in my first career. More importantly, when the deadline for my dream job arrived and my online application didn't seem to be working, they came to my rescue, uncovering the source of my problem and assuring me that, no matter what, my application would make it in, whether online or by paper.
I knew I could rely on them and now I'm preparing to start work in the firm I have always wanted to work for.

I was the virtual poster child of a non-traditional student back in the late 1970s when I decided my life needed renewal. I was a woman in my 30s who had gone to an out-of-state college and who had none of the family or business connections that could help me get into law school here in North Carolina. Or so I feared.
Then I was accepted to go to the Campbell University School of Law. Campbell was a real lifesaver for me. Law school truly turned my professional life around for the better. I know I would not be North Carolina Secretary of State today without the wonderful experience, and the law degree, I received from Campbell.

When I graduated from Campbell University's School of Law in 1983, I was well prepared for the practice of law. Walking across the stage to receive my diploma, however, I never dreamed that my career path would lead to opportunities to serve North Carolina as a public official, or to be honored further with the Alumni Association of Campbell University's 2003 Distinguished Alumna Award. I feel, rather, that it is my honor to have attended Campbell University School of Law.
I also highly value other graduates of our alma mater who over the years have practiced before me providing outstanding representation to their clients. I am proud of Campbell Universityprofessors, staff, students and graduates alike and I am deeply grateful to be associated with such an exceptional institution.

What attracted me to Campbell was the School of Law faculty's commitment to providing a quality education, its state-of-the-art trial advocacy program, the lack of a hyper-competitive atmosphere among students, and the opportunity to be part of a new and developing law school. Looking back, I know that I made a wise decision.
Campbell provided a first-rate legal education that allowed me to hit the ground running. The legal instruction the law school provides gives students the proper foundation to achieve a successful and rewarding professional career.

There is a sense of community at Campbell's School of Law that follows its graduates through their career. As a student I knew our professors had an open door policy, meaning I could go to them at any time to ask questions, discuss issues, and seek guidance or direction. Those same professors were standing outside on the sidewalk at the end of each grueling day of the bar exam to cheer us on. Those same professors continue to be a resource and inspiration. Campbell Law provided the foundation for my legal career and instilled in me a dedication to serving my clients and my profession.

The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University provides an opportunity for an excellent, well-balanced legal education. The legal experience of the law professors from their work outside of academia enables them to impart practical skills, as well as legal theory, to the students. Alumni have excelled in private practice, government positions (including the judiciary), in-house corporate positions and, perhaps most importantly, in public and
professional service.

I am proud to say I am a Campbell lawyer. What attracted me to Campbell was the philosophy of educating students in a rigorous academic and professional environment, yet teaching that success in the law is more than enriching our own lives -- it is enriching the lives of others. I have had the opportunity to witness many cultures, inequalities and diversities in the nation and world. Campbell is a law school that acknowledges these differences and prepares students to work in a diverse world. Campbell provides students an opportunity to learn and discuss the legal, moral and ethical issues that face all of us each and every day. I can only hope that the decisions I make from the bench each day reflect the integrity, compassion and professionalism that Campbell instilled in me. I am honored and proud to be a Campbell lawyer.
