  Campbell Law graduates 110 in Class of 2008

    

 

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Commencement ceremonies for the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law’s Class of 2008 took place Sunday, May 11 and Monday, May 12 at the Campbell University campus.

Campbell Law School conferred 110 Juris Doctor degrees at the Hooding ceremony. William K. Suter, clerk of the United States Supreme Court, delivered the address at the 2007-08 hooding ceremony.

Suter has spent his entire legal career in public service. Prior to being appointed as the 19th Clerk of the United States Supreme Court in 1991, Suter retired as a Major General from the U.S. Army. While serving in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, he served as Assistant Judge Advocate General of the Army, Chief Judge for the U.S. Army Court of Military Review, Commander of the U.S. Army Legal Services Agency, and as the Commandant and Director of Academics of the Judge Advocate General School at the University of Virginia. As a result of his meritorious service in the U.S. Army, Suter received the Bronze Star and Distinguished Service Medal. Suter obtained his B.A. from Trinity University and his law degree (LL.B.) from Tulane University.

The hooding ceremony took place on Sunday, May 11 at 1 p.m. at Campbell University.

Graduates received their diplomas during the commencement ceremony held Monday, May 12. Honors were awarded to students who ranked in the top ten percent and to those with a cumulative average of 86% or higher.
