ALAN L. BUTTON, Professor of Law, served as litigation counsel for Bausch & Lomb and was an associate with a major New York law firm prior to joining the law faculty in 1989. He is a graduate of Cornell University (A.B.), graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University School of Law, and holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Cambridge, England. Professor Button's extensive practice experience includes all facets of corporate litigation: antitrust, contract, labor and employment, media, real estate, trademark and tort law. Professor Button has also served as a judicial clerk for The Honorable Donald S. Russell, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. A Fulbright Scholar, he taught in Slovenia in 1998.
